AC Shadows Unveils Bizarre Attack on Titan Collaboration for Holiday Season
In a unexpected crossover event that defies usual expectations, Ubisoft has unveiled an in-game collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected Thanksgiving event continues from November 25 through December 22, offering complimentary extra story content for Shadows players.
Strange Questline Disclosed
According to the official announcement, "A mysterious encounter leads protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a original mission, where whispers of forbidden practices and fearsome transformations echo through the darkness." The storyline introduces a "oddly garbed woman named Ada" who assigns the characters with venturing into the Gemstone Grotto—a key location from Attack on Titan—to save her ally from a clandestine sect.
The mission concentrates on "strange trials and a terrifying enemy" and is available to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Locations and Changes
The preview showcases the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was previously where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through eras. The teaser ends with a powerful sequence showing a character, probably the captive, changing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Players who successfully complete the mission will obtain an special katana together with several objects concealed throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also features in-store Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
